Recently, I planted dogwoods and redbuds with Veterans, a local business (ArborZen) and college students here in North Carolina – and in the spring, we will plant over 500 hardwood seedlings to reforest lands. Digging through rock and soil and planting trees together united us around the common love and pride we all feel for our communities and our forests. That day, I couldn’t help but think about other people and forests, and how at the same time, WildFF was similarly working with the Wise Women and the communities in Gulu, Uganda, and with our friends in Madre de Dios, Peru. Today, we are launching our 2016 Year-End Campaign. Our goal is to surpass 500,000 trees planted next year, to train and empower dozens of new partners on the ground, and to protect tens of thousands of global forest acres. You see, even though we made BIG strides this year, we know we can make an even bigger difference with your help!
